Assignment 2 - film planning.

Main idea.(fate)

(task 1+2)Genre:  Drama. It has alot of tension, and there are alot of dramatic things happening
(task 1+2)Setting: School, Home, Streets etc.

(task 2)Storyline:  A boy thought he had everything, and took it for granted. Until, they started disappearing because of his actions.

(task 3)Log line: He thought he had everything, and took it for granted...Until his actions came with consequences.
(task 3)Pitch: There’s A boy who thought he had everything, and got everything he wanted. He had popularity, power, he was rude, he was arrogant. He thought it would always be there, and relied on all these things. He took it all for granted. He didn't pay attention to anyone, apart from himself. Everyone was afraid of him. Until his actions started having consequences. He started to lose everything, everyone. No one cared for him, and he realised what he had done to himself and others. He ended up with nothing.

(task 4)Target audience
: The target audience for my film is Teens, because the actors would be teens and the main character is a teen. Also, its set in a high school as well as outside of school.
(task 4)Main characters: The main characters will be they boy, his closest friend, his girlfriend, his sibling, and maybe some family.

(task 5)Poster: The poster will be halved into two sides. The first side will represent the beginning of the film (where the boy has everything) and the second side will show what happened when everything turned around.
First side: He’ll be wearing branded clothing, with money etc., good mood setting. Standing with all his friends, girlfriends, and friends. The text will be “He had everything,-” Near the bottom. The title of the film just above it. With main actors name.
Second side: He’ll be alone; it will be quite dark, scary, wearing the same clothes, no money, dirty hands etc. The text will continue and say “And then nothing.” Title just above. With the main actors name. Also, star ratings right at the top.
(task 5)Trailer: For the trailer, there will be clips of his life when he had everything, showing the clothes, money, friends etc. With a voice-over of him talking. Then it would suddenly change into what happened after, with intense/sad music. This will include clips of how things changed, with text on screen as well.

Film poster & trailer analysis 1.

Genre
The genre of this movie is action, crime. This is because there is alot of guns, action, fighting, blowing up etc. Also, crime because, someone is committing a crime (bane).

Poster analysis.

Text
The only text on the poster is the tagline and the title. There is no release date, actors names, production blurb, which leaves the audience hanging. This is an impact of the audience not knowing who the actors are. Also, the tagline makes people think what’s ending? Is batman going to die? And it makes the audience think, and want to watch the movie.
Images
The image of Bane (villian) is powerful because the audience don’t know what he looks like, which actor he is and it makes them want to know. Also, Batmans mask is on the floor, broken, which makes the audience think something has happened to them. This has an impact because the audience would want to watch and see what actually happens.
Iconography
The colour scheme is very dark, with a bit of white theres also rain coming down. This is quite dramatic. The batman logo is behind the title to represent batman.

Trailer Analysis

This trailer doesnt have an exact release date but it does say "Summer 2012". The music/sound used in this trailer is very sudden, they are like thudding sounds, to make tension. Also, towards the end there is the batman tune. However, there is also voiceovers from: The beginning of a the boy singing, People talking throughout (bane, batman, catwoman) etc. There isnt any ratings, so far. At the end of the trailer there are directors names, actors names (production blurb). There is a few texts on screen; Directors of.., time of release, "The epic conclusion","the dark knight legend". This makes the audience think what conclusion? Whats going to happen? What's ending? etc and they would want to see it.
